That's a strange thing to see trending in Korea. Korea has its own large language models, its own platform giants, and a government that talks openly about "sovereign AI." So why is a San Francisco company suddenly a Korean search term? The short answer: Anthropic has quietly become the coding and knowledge-work layer inside some of Korea's biggest companies — Samsung SDS, Naver, LG CNS, Nexon — right as it marches toward a very large IPO. TL;DR: Anthropic is trending in Korean search right now for two reasons: a possible IPO as soon as November (u...

His longevity defies esports usual short career arcs, and his shift from mechanical outplays to veteran game sense is why he is still winning. There is no clear heir to his GOAT status yet. The short version Faker — real name Lee Sang-hyeok — is the most decorated player in League of Legends history, with six World Championship titles (2013, 2015, 2016, 2023, 2024, 2025), all won with the same organization, T1. He is now 30 and still starting at mid lane, which in esports terms is roughly a 40-year-old still leading an NBA playoff team. He is also a part-owner of T1, the team...
Photo by Denny Mรผller on Unsplash A 50-year-old Korean optical fiber maker has become one of the most extreme AI trades in Asia. Taihan Fiberoptics (๋ํ๊ดํต์ , KOSDAQ: 010170) has reportedly gained roughly 3,517% over one year, with single-day moves above 20%, after landing its first supply contract for ultra-high-density optical cable with a US big tech customer. The trigger was small in dollar terms and huge in narrative terms: a first-tranche contract worth about US$3.78 million (roughly 5.4 billion won) to supply 864-fiber optical cable to an unnamed US "global AI/XR platform" customer. That's a rounding error for a hyperscaler. But it placed a mid-cap Korean cable maker inside the global AI data center supply chain, and the market repriced everything from there. Below is what the company actually does, why fiber pricing has gone vertical, and where the risk sits. TL;DR: Taihan Fiberoptics, a 50-year-old Korean optical cable maker, has surged roughly 3,500% in a ...
