Taihan Fiberoptics: The Korean AI Fiber Stock Up 3,500%

Taihan Fiberoptics (대한광통신, KOSDAQ: 010170) has reportedly gained roughly 3,517% over one year, with single-day moves above 20%, after landing its first supply contract for ultra-high-density optical cable with a US big tech customer. The trigger was small in dollar terms and huge in narrative terms: a first-tranche contract worth about US$3.78 million (roughly 5.4 billion won) to supply 864-fiber optical cable to an unnamed US "global AI/XR platform" customer. That's a rounding error for a hyperscaler. But it placed a mid-cap Korean cable maker inside the global AI data center supply chain, and the market repriced everything from there.
